EHR & Practice Management Integrations

Your EHR and your photos, finally in sync

ImageAssist connects directly to your practice management system — pulling patients, syncing schedules, and sending photos to the chart automatically.

Integrates With

Why integrate

Three ways integration makes your practice faster

When ImageAssist is connected to your EHR, manual data entry disappears. Your workflow becomes seamless from the moment you open the app.

Patient data syncs automatically — no duplicate entry

When a patient is selected in ImageAssist, their name, date of birth, and visit details are pulled directly from your EHR. No typing. No searching. No risk of mismatch between systems.

Photos go to the chart and stay in ImageAssist

Every photo captured in ImageAssist is automatically saved to the patient's EHR record and stored in ImageAssist's HIPAA-compliant cloud. Clinicians keep full access to before-and-after comparisons, overlays, and all photo tools — while the medical record stays complete.

Today's patients load before you walk in the room

ImageAssist reads your provider's daily calendar from the EHR and automatically populates the home screen with that day's patient list. Open the app, tap the patient's name, and start capturing — no searching, no manual setup, zero friction.

How it works

From schedule to chart in three steps

Once your EHR is connected, ImageAssist handles the rest automatically on every single visit.

Open ImageAssist — your schedule is already there

ImageAssist reads your provider's daily calendar directly from your connected EHR. Every patient on today's schedule appears on your home screen automatically, in appointment order. No searching, no manual patient lookup.

Calendar sync

Tap the patient — their information is already populated

Select any patient from the schedule and their demographic data is pulled automatically from the EHR. No re-entering names, dates of birth, or visit details. The patient profile in ImageAssist is complete before you take a single photo.

Patient sync

Capture photos — they go to the chart instantly

After capturing, photos are saved in two places simultaneously: in the patient's EHR chart and in ImageAssist's HIPAA-compliant cloud. The medical record is complete. Clinicians retain full access to overlays, before-and-after comparison, and standardized galleries.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about EHR integration

What EHR systems does ImageAssist integrate with?

ImageAssist integrates with Epic, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), ModMed, Symplast, 4D EMR, Mindbody, Jane, and Apollo EMR. Oracle Health, ModMed, and Jane are newly available integrations. Additional integrations are continuously being developed.

Do I need to manually enter patient information in ImageAssist if I use an EHR?

No. When ImageAssist is connected to your EHR, patient information — name, date of birth, and visit details — is imported automatically. There is no duplicate data entry across systems.

Where are photos stored when ImageAssist is connected to an EHR?

Photos are stored in two places simultaneously: in the patient's EHR chart and in ImageAssist's HIPAA-compliant cloud storage. This means the medical record stays complete while clinicians retain full access to ImageAssist's photo tools — overlays, before-and-after comparisons, standardized guides, and organized galleries.

Does ImageAssist pull the daily patient schedule from the EHR?

Yes. ImageAssist reads the provider's daily calendar from the connected EHR and automatically populates the ImageAssist home screen with that day's patients in appointment order. Clinicians simply open ImageAssist, tap the patient's name, and begin capturing photos — no manual searching required.

How does ImageAssist integrate with Epic?

ImageAssist connects to Epic via SMART on FHIR, the industry-standard framework for Epic integrations. Patient data is pulled through the FHIR API, and photos are delivered to the Epic chart via a DocumentReference resource. Setup typically requires coordination with your health IT team and takes approximately four weeks from kickoff.

Can I use ImageAssist without an EHR integration?

Yes. ImageAssist is a fully functional standalone clinical photography platform. EHR integration is an add-on that enhances the workflow — practices are up and running in under 10 minutes without any integration. You can connect your EHR at any time.

Is ImageAssist HIPAA compliant?

Yes. ImageAssist is a fully HIPAA-compliant clinical photography platform. All patient photos are encrypted and stored in Google Cloud, and the platform is SOC 2 Type 2 audited. ImageAssist was built from the ground up for healthcare — HIPAA compliance is a foundation, not an add-on.
